On March 25, 1857, a French inventor named Eduard-Leon Scott de Martinville was the first to patent a device that could record sound called the phonautograph. The device used a cone-shaped speaking horn to capture the sound.
The job attracts a wide range of characters; from hippies looking for a nature-filled adventure, to students desperately trying to pay their debts, to outcasts who started tree planting one day and never found a good reason to stop.

Last night I watched a film that I’d stumbled across in searching for some fresh Canadian cinema. I set out to find the more unearthed Canadian films for no more reason than my own curiosity and with little effort I came across Clearcut, the title of which I’d never even so much as heard uttered before.
The lovely people of NDG open up their porches and front lawns for local musicians of all genres to perform their stuff in front of a neighbourly crowd. This off-the-beaten-path festival opens up opportunities not just for bands, but for the community as well.

The work of Glen Martin Taylor has such vivid imagery that it strikes you to the core. Traditionally, it’s a Japanese art form known as Kintsugi and man it looks good when Taylor’s hands are at the helm. Darkness abounds here and yet a very pretty, porcelain light remains.
Kamillia is a Hungarian collage artist who has been hitting the scissors since she was 19 and the results are as relaxing as the process.
This guy managed to hit Snoop Dogg with the Mandella effect, his scissors are just that sharp. The elusive VEMIX carves up old photos and places artists juxtaposed together in a happenstance that never happed in the first place.
